Well where do I start, at the begining I suppose. Just had the the best 14 days in Bali. My husband and I are already planning to be back next year for 3 months.

Immigration took one and a half hours to get through. Would definitely think the VIP is worth paying next trip.

Stayed at the Jayakarta at Legian, this was our third time there. We still like the location, staff are very friendly, and nothing was too hard for them when we made a request. Rooms were very clean, clean fresh beds, but the rooms are getting tired and I hope they do some reno's in the future. All in all good value.Rooms in the 200 block are best, close to the pools and overlooking the beach. Breakfasts were Ok, the usual basics, cereals, fruits, hot food, eggs cooked any way, pastries etc etc

Went to Jimboran Bay for a meal at Sharky's, Australian owned. Had a fair meal, we think it was over rated and far too expensive at 700,000rp for just the 2 of us.

Thanks to all the forumites out there for your valuable tips on eating places, MOZZARELLA'S restaurant at No 9 JL Padma was our favourite place. The food was to die for, we ate here several nights, was hard to get in if you were there after 8pm. They only take bookings for 7.30pm.The cream brulee was soooooo yummmm!!!!!!
This place has style, we took a couple of Americans to dinner with us and they were staying at the Conrad Nusa Dua, and they said the food was better than the place they were staying. Dined at La Monde JL Padma (2 restaurants), good food and reasonable prices, best Chicken Satay sticks I have ever eaten.

Have a great driver for a number of years, NYOMAN WENDRA, has a new van all air conditioned, he is very reasonable, speaks good English. Contact for him is Mobile 081 239 22920,

Best coffee and iced coffee was found at MUGSHOT'S JL Padma Utara 5, a couple of doors from the fairy shop on the corner.

Had leather boots made with silver studs all over them, they did an unreal job of them. DEDE leather fashion 0361 8533148, Werkudara Street.

Biarritz Handicraft Centre Sunset road Seninyak No 9
This was a good fixed price store for all the bits and pieces, souveniers etc. Similar to Geneva, minus all the dirt and dust as it is a new store.

Had some clothing made at SUSI tailors JL Ciung Wanara No 12 Kuta.
Located down the side street of Mataharis. Could not fault the sewing, can only say it is of the highest standard.

Stayed at Coconuts Beach Resort on Nusa Lembongan. Good value for money. I can only suggest that with all the villas, climbing up into the hillside, if you stay ask for rooms 1 to 6 as these are on the 1st three levels as it is a hike, and you might get cardiac arrest if you get room 16 having to climb 100 steps to get to your room.
Ate at Lembongan reef resort restaurant and also Ware Ware resort and the food was great. Hired scooters and rode all around the island for 7 hours, done some exploring, met lots of the locals, saw heaps of secluded beaches and watched awesome surf at Chennigan, Playgrounds, Lacerations and Shipwrecks. Great snorkelling at Mangoves.

Purchased goods from the sellers at Legian on the beach and found that they were very reasonable with their prices.

Once again thanks to everyone for all your valuable info, it made our holiday a real success.
