The quality of service provided by healthcare professionals depends greatly on the quality of the institutions that train and certify them.
Accreditation and other measures of quality vary widely across the globe.
Dental tourism carries some risks that locally provided medical care does not. Certain countries have very different infectious disease-related epidemiology to Australia, Europe or America.
Health facilities treating dental tourists may lack an adequate complaints policy to deal appropriately and fairly with complaints made by dissatisfied patients
If problems arise, patients might not be covered by adequate personal insurance or might be unable to seek compensation via malpractice lawsuits.
As stated previously, 'I would be seeking an independent review (at home) of the dentistry performed (in Bali) to check on the quality of workmanship received'. This means, a second opinion by a trusted dental professional in your own country, who recognises acceptable western dental standards.
Of course, it is only a value if the quality of the work is good.
Good-luck with your crowns.
