like I said in my first post we are not new to Bali having visited 8 times already. We know what the roads and traffic are like.
We will be hiring the car in Tuban and traveling to Candi Dasa and Ubud and returning it once we return to Tuban. We usually walk everywhere once in Tuban and Ubud, but thought we would try driving this time as we were not going to be down south the whole time. There have been many times when we have thought that we could have stopped somewhere a bit longer or driven past something that looked interesting but felt that we couldn't ask the driver to stop as we were on a time schedule or he took us somewhere that didn't quite interest us. Or we felt bad having him wait so long for us, I am sure many people would feel the same. So this time we are trying the self drive thing, we may love it or say never again, but you have to try it or you will never know.
Having stayed in Ubud before we know that it is difficult to get a driver to take you short distances, I guess CD would be the same.
