I really liked the place and did do a JBR if you look in the archive for some more detail.
I stayed in the private jasmin suite and because its your own area and away from the rest it wouldnt matter how boisterous your little one is. There were only one or two other guests there during our stay so it is quiet. I like walking too but it is really too far to walk (with lots of hills) but the hotel will drive you, we just used to tip them for their efforts. I think best to save your legs for the walk when you are in Ubud. I did walk to Bintang and that was OK.
It does have a spa, but not very appealing especially with Botanica or Zen in the area.
I found the staff super helpful, but it is an older looking establishment that they are sort of doing up, so lower your expectations so you are pleasantly surprised. The entrance is a bit bleak until you walk through the gates. Its great value for money.
