In Kuta (I assume you mean Bali Kuta not Lombok Kuta) you could try emailing Masa Inn, Secret Garden, La Walon in Poppies 1. If no luck then when you arrive leave one person with your luggage & walk around Poppies 1 & 2 - there are lots of cheap hostel-like places down the several lanes. Gang Sorga near the beach end of Poppies 1 has many cheap places. It is a very busy time in August - good luck.
