Hi Colleen, I take home alcohol in my luggage nearly every trip and have only been stopped once, and I refused to remove it and they backed off and let me go. They say the issue is with breakage, so here is my tip. Take a wine cooler bag from home with you. These are nicely padded, dont weigh much and protect your bottles.The girls can get some bubble wrap to do the same job. The interesting thing with bottles of arak is that you can call them souveniers and they dont count as your alcohol limits. I have some lovely ceramic bottles of arak at home and never once stopped. I bought them from Matahari so you can expect them to be ok ( mind you after previous experience with Jungle Juice from the Bounty I will never drink arak again...)Hope this helps, regards Carmel
