I have absolutely no doubt that the poor bloke or girl at the Circle K store WILL definately lose their job as a result of what has happened & once their boss finds out on his next bank statement that he has lost close to $1000.
It's a loose/loose situation for absolutely everyone involved - For Liz,the Circle K employee, the Circle K boss/owner,the Bank & the travel insurance insurance company - this is all just because some A -- hole on a motorbike who was a thief saw a split second opportunity & decided to steal from a young Aussie woman.
On the other hand I can't imagine what would have happened IF the girls local friends had managed to catch or corner this bloke on the motor bike & what trouble they may have ended up in as a result !
The postive about this is that my daughter & her girlfriend have become very close to some of our dear friends in Bali who have taken them under their wings & been very supportive. The girls have kept on keeping on & realise that sh-- happens & got on with enjoying their holiday.Liz is just hanging out for money to be sent through to her tomorrow.Bit hard to party or go shopping in Bali when you lose almost a full 2 weeks wages in cash stolen from your purse & cleared out from your bank account.
I have received emails & sms messages from friends in Bali asking "Is there anything we can do to help the girls" You know who your friends are when you or yours are in difficulties.
