Went thru my morning motions -breakfast, massage minus Mr 50. He was feeling better but wanted a lazy day by the pool before his birthday celebrations tonight. Stu now not feeling well. So I take Pop, Miss 16, G, Kez and L to Sanur. Miss 16 still not feeling 100% but she is not missing out on any part of the holiday. I suspect this is not BB but a gastro bug. I & G have taken the raspberry everyday and no problems. We arrive at Sanur, sun shining and decide to walk along the pavement by the beach with all the restaurants. The hawkers seem a lot more aggressive. They are very good at separating everyone and walk alongside each person. At times they are actually touching and pulling us to go 'see their shop'. This becomes a little frightening for some in the group who have never experienced Bali before. Pop being his ever friendly soul has the most hawkers around him. Stop at a restaurant -sorry can't remember name- has beautiful colourful striped cushions in red, blue and yellow. Order cooked and cold tasting platters, drinks & guacamole. I love the guacamole in Bali, they make it so well. I order it everywhere I go and it has now become a running joke. We circle the wagons around Pop and head back to our transport. In spite of this we still manage to get seperated.
Arrive back at hotel to get ready for Mr 50 birthday. Champagne(brought in duty free) on the lawns, next Ku te da. Now I have heard all the hype. Arrive and the place is pumping, loads of people & music blaring. Sadly the beer is very warm. There is a function for Strategic upstairs and have actually got a model of the airplane on the roof.So there is no seats anywhere. However it was really interesting standing & watching all the different nationalities and fashion. Next, dinner at The Living Room. Just beautiful. Fairy lights and chiffon everywhere. Food was amazing. Lots of laughs and toasts. Return back to the Padma feeling the love between us( or was that just the alcohol within us!)
