We stayed there last Sept. Mum and I had a Deluxe - very nice. Put my boys in a standard (not so nice - room old and a bit mouldy) Sorry guys :)... A friend gave me a list of the following restaurants. Found it very helpful and very accurate. You have to walk down an alley way before you hit the street where the restaurants are.
Jepun ( Jl. D. Tamblingan) - turn right - Everything is yummy especially the rolled pork.
The Village Bar & Rest (Jl. D. Tamblingan 66) - opposite side of road next to Griya Santrian - Classy Italian, a bit exy (still much cheaper than Oz) fantastic pizza to takeaway (good price)
Pickled Parrot - opposite side of road next to Grya Santrian (other side) - pub atmosphere with Irish bands a couple of nights a week.
Pregina - Opposite Grya Santrian - good indo food at cheap prices.
Beach Cafe - on the beach just past market entrance - Recommend the tuna steak, burgers with pumpkin chips and the dessert taster plate.
Bonsai Cafe - on the beach. Check out Bonsai Garden. Sensational satays, service a bit slack (be prepared to wave your arms) best chocolate mousse in town.
Bennos and Mangos (beach area and nice)
Gateway to India - opposite side of road go right and fair way down. Best Indian food EVER. You can order it as mild or as hot as you like.
Mona Lisa - Turn right. Delicious and good value. Very popular.
