I flew five times with AA last year using their sale prices.
This year, I am booked to fly to KL from the Gold Coast using the $A56 fare. Adding food, a "convenience fee" and 15 kg of checked in luggage, brought the total cost to $A79.
AA were sneaky in that I was charged a "convenience fee" for using a credit card to book. They were also sneaky in that there were no seats for the return flight with sale fares. However, I have other options for a return flight.
After you make your booking and get your new passports, you can login and go to the "Manage my booking" screen. From there, you can add the new passport numbers.
