They are allowed hand luggage and checked luggage but i'm pretty sure that they are only allowed about 10kg checked luggage. The exact details should be on your ticket/itinerary.
Make sure you take a stroller. One that is fairly light as the footpaths can be a bit up and down and the lighter the stroller the easier. Also one that folds up and down quickly (for getting in and out of taxi's etc).
My youngest has just turned 7 but has been going to bali since she was 16 months old. Although panadol etc is available I would always take everything I thought I might need, so if she got a temp in the middle of the night I didn't have to worry.
Take antibacterial wipes or Aquim Gel (or similar) to wipe her hands before eating etc.
My daughter really loved the water so I ensured that she wore a swim vest at all times just for that extra bit of safety.
Take some very light long sleeve tops/pants and some mozzie spray as depending where you are staying there can be a lot of mozzies.
Hope this helps
