stayed many times and love the gardens and pool.We usually have the de-luxe rooms at the back and while the bathrooms are pretty old and rooms dark the rooms themselves are quite large. Can sit on patio and watch comings and goings of staff etc.
Definetely go for a walk up and out back entrance to another world.Walk the whole street, supermarket at end and all little stores along the way.We get sim card etc just to the left of entrance.Buy the little sachets of ironing spray (5000rph) lovely smell.
We do use t he laundry down a lane to the right in Legian and the Kodak money changer that way as well.Keep walking up towards melasti and there is a very good supermarket on a corner before you reach Melasti.
There is also a morning market diagonally across from bemo corner.Interesting.
Sure you will enjoy your stay.
