A little late for JBR but hey better late than never.Flew Garuda Executive class from Sydney fantastic as usual and now with the plane refurb even better especially for the flight home- seats that turn into a bed WOW.But now with their price increase looks like Economy for me from now on LOL.Used Hadi VOA VIP service 225,000Rp and well worth it as 7 planes had landed and there seemed to be approx 200-300 people waiting in line for immigration, I walked straight through and was out waiting for my driver in less than 10 mins.
Arrived at Dyana villas in Seminyak which I have to say were fantastic
- private pool, maid, free internet, free laundry, breakfast in villa all included.Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Frequented the 'Bali Spa' 100m from the villas and excellent services think I had nearly all on the menu 110,000Rp for massage, pedi, mani etc
Fabulous restaurant near by called Costra Nostra - great pasta dishes, pizza disappointing though. Also a terrific little Indian place that had the best ever Naan bread and curries - Hot or mild as you want. All washed down with Bintang of course.
Had a look at Biku for high tea but not able to get in as was full, but definitely will next trip.Made an appointment with Dr Made Ita in Kerokokan for Botox and Restylane - very pleased with the results I would say I look refreshed - not over done -cost $1100 AUD.
My favourite place was Bali Deli - anything you want and the most delicious strawberry tarts in the world and also some pate I found scrumptous and so cheap. It was great sitting by the pool with an antipasto assortment at your fingertips.Bintang supermarket great for all your incidentals - beer, softdrinks, personal items,SIM cards etc.
Seminyak shopping is mainly fixed price and more up market with a price to match. My main shopping destination was Legian- Garlic lane.
Great Silver shop called Silver Instinct- bought Pandora bracelets there very reasonable and DVD shop next door good.Ketut's shop in gang 2 off Garlic lane also was a favourite no hassles and cheap, the best childrens Fairy dresses 25,000 RP each.Visited the Orchid garden at Sanur this was lovely and purchased some orchids for my villa.
Thankyou for reading and cant wait to return in late October for 2 weeks. Cheers
