has always been very slow compared to other places!
Seems like a bad thing and a pain in the a** and i have witnessed/been part of some very over zealous searches and questioning by officials at Perth airport!
There must be a reason and we know a few like foot and mouth,borer,rabies,fruit fly, drugs etc and as i have gotten older i now appreciate these delays as in the end Australia is a cleaner safer place for it!
Perhaps some of the time spent at immigration in Bali is for a good reason that we dont understand and just put down to laziness/corruption?
why would they just keep people waiting for up to hours when there seems no need to? especially when most are going in for a very short time to spend lots of money and with no thoughts of overstaying!
Perhaps its as simple as giving the baggage handlers a fair chance to get your luggage off and on the carousel in time for each flight to empty and give room for the next?
