We went to the safari park on Tuesday. Our driver took us and the roads were very busy. Although it is only about 30km out of kuta, it took almost 2 hours to get there because of traffic and road works. We had palnned on going the day earlier but due to sick kids we put it off for a day. Because of this we were unable to get the longer elephant ride with the rhino package as it was booked out. I think the tickets were $56us for rhino package and $45us for the jungle hopper package. We took this and paid extra for a 15 minute elephant ride (and my 4 year old son was dying to ride an elephant.) We also paid extra to ride the camel. The day was full on. Get there early as there is so much to see and do. The safari drive was great and very funny! I would recommend going especially if you have kids. I would have liked to stay longer as recommended by others but the kids were tired and it was very hot! The elephant show was great too so make sure you get to see that!
