Anysuggestions for clean cheaper hotels

I am looking for two nights for four people at the end of this months and can't afford the lovely but 5* hotels suggested for KL. I need a more basic hotel, but of the cheaper ones in KL have poor reviews on trip adviser. A pool would be a bonus.
