Whilst there is no excuse for the customs officers to be rude - can you imagine the stories and rubbish that they get told everyday about why things didn't get declared and trying to bring in a bit more than declared etc.
I wouldn't have their job for anything. I work in a public service industry and quite frankly the public "in general" are rude pigs. Still no excuse to be rude but some people deserve what they get. Unfortunately a few innocent people get caught in the crossfire sometimes.
