We stay this end of Sanur and the money changers on the beach side of the road near a laundry and leather shop will shortchange you if you aren't careful. If you catch them they will claim "it's commission". Their rates are usually a little higher and they will have a sign saying no commission but you are better off to get a bemo or cab to one of the Kodak shops near Hardy's supermarket where you can trust the money changers. I felt particularly annoyed because the guy near the laundry had given my husband the correct amount but when I went there he tried to rip me off. A helpful hint is to try and change $100 at a time as there's less to calculate. Watch that you're given the correct amount of ,000s though.
