Booked a 3 night package with the hard rock, 2 nights at hardrock and 1 night at elephant safari lodge 190us a night included transfers. pool cabana, white water rafting for family of 4, photo with elephants and unlimted elephant rides.
Left the bali safari park for the bumpy drive to the hardrock as they are doing up the roads.
arrived at the Hard rock hotel bit confusion to when we were going to stay at the elephant safari park as i had booked a n extra 6 nights with the hard rock at 135us a night but was quickly sorted out
Checked into our room and headed straight to the pool lots of activies going on for the kids, the pool is huge infact massive and was a bit on edge with my 6yr old until i made her start wearing the jackets they have for the little ones around the pool, even though she is a good little swimmer the pool is just way to big
the kids loved the waterslides and made heaps of friends
would go and catch up with wayan on the beach for a beer as normal he never has anyone there. he is such a lovely man and has nice cold icy beers please pay him a visit if u love going for a beer on the beach not far from the art markets u will reconize him he never has anyone there. girls got there hair and nails done there as well 50,000 for hair and nails the same. minko does lovely massages 40,000
did the usual shopping not that i needed much as it's the same thing every yr but still ended up with the stuff
day 3 time for white water rafting again. bit on edge with the 6 yr old as never done it before well it was brilliant and little one if i still ask her now what was best thing about bali and she says white water rafting be prepared to walk down a few stairs to get to the river but it's worth it and there is something very special when yr out on the river i'm not telling just incase you s have never done it
the whiter water rafting was through bali adventure tours and included a lovely lunch at yani's in ubud
we were transfered to the elephant safari lodge after rafting
WOW WOW we were upgraded to a park view room, again WOW
overlooking the elephants.
straight on the phone for an elephant ride knock at the door and our elephants were waiting outside our room they have a little gate on yr balcony so you can hop onto the elephant.
they came to get us for Dinner which was beautiful and was told of intinery for in the morning which was bathing the elephants
this was so much fun and the kids loved but think hubby loved it more he got right into it, i thought he was going to round up all the elephants and give them all a bath
We were made to feel very special here and they couldn't do enough for us and by the way breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked for you not buffet.
we met the aussie owner and his wife such a lovely couple
we all learned so much here about the elephants, so if there's anything you want to know about elephants just ask me ha ha by the way elephants have very bad wind as we discovered sitting on our balcony and we kept looking at each other when we heard very loud noises
very sad to leave this place as it was so relaxing and peacefull
well back to hardrock for 6 nights of chilling by the pool and eating
breaky was good lots of choice. room quite basic and you will need a sat nav to find your way back and you get worn out saying hello to everyone trying to find yr room. kids loved the kids club 25,000 per child per hr but we did recieve some free hrs in our package
lots of activities around the pool start about 2pm they having kids cooking classes every day which alway involved chocolate
pool cabanas i noticed were 200,000 through the week and 250,000 on weekends ours were free we got 2 which i used one on the last day instead of getting late checkout as they have showers and changing rooms
Never had any probs with food places we ate
of course the hotel splash bistro yes pricey with the ++

secret garden very cheap 25,000 cocktails lovely ate here quite a few times feed the family here for 240,000 including coktails and lots of beer

kedins inn very cheap lovely but playing movies at night not suitable for kids better through the day
got my laundry done at danny's shop next to kedins you will see his sign
8,000 a kilo lovely man won't rip you off great prices for the olde bingtan singlets
