Our Bali trip continues..... Warning...long..........
Since we arrived on day one, each morning we took a teaspoon of 100% Raspberry Juice brought from home, as well has constantly cleaning our hands with Detol Antiseptic hand cleaner. A must!! To keep Bali Belly away...
We wanted to try as many restaurants as possible for dinner, to see which one we thought was the best in our opinion! Also from a vegetarians point of view...these are my meals... J
1. Queens Indian restaurant. Front of Dynasty Resort, was really lovely. We ate here twice, everyone's meals were great, no complaints, fast friendly service! I had Navaratan Jalfrazi & Vegetable Kholapuri both great meals

Note to self, remember to carry our Aeorgard with us at night!
Hubby ordered Bintang, only come in one size, Large...no condom for it either...beer got warm quickly..
I ordered the Eggplant Moussaka which was very tasty, and as was only a small portion, was good for the price 15,000rp. Hubby had Large Grilled Platter, 145,000rp, which was served on a plate, then presented on cardboard (which looked like a box that had been flat packed) with fish, seafood etc. Son had calamari & chips, 45,000rp, was just ok too. Plus 2 large bintangs 50,000rp, 1 soft drink 25,000rp, 2 Arak sunrises 60,000rp total including tax 392,700rp = $52.30 Score 6/10
Hubby couldn't eat all his meal, so we got a doggy bag (cant do that in Aus!!) and dropped it off to Benny & Jenny. They were so thankful!
4. Mudi Bar & Restaurant Jl Kartika. Turn right out of the Dynasty...(walking distance)

Well what can I say! Place was absolutely packed, and only 1 table available. You should have heard my son, he couldn't believe this place... dodgy mum, he kept saying! Lol Nah, you just have to experience Bali I said! Been to spoilt at the previous restaurants, nice décor etc. Well son couldn't believe that the table clothes had holes in them, were a bit grubby, also there was a bucket next to our table, catching the rain, dripping through the roof. RAZOR ATTACK.....
After paying the bill and walking back to the Dynasty, approx 8.30pm., we stopped to watch someone on the Sling Shot ready to take off. We were standing on the footpath, which was pretty busy at this time of night, people & cars everywhere. So we are looking up into the sky watching the Slingshot, when my Hubby feels something on his arm. He looks down, and sees a razor/box cutter blade in someone's hand, and feels his arm. There is blood running down it, he was sliced on the upper forearm. There was no conversation with the attacker, my hubby wasn't carrying a money belt/bumbag, so this was a random attack we guess. It happened so quickly, that by the time Hubby looked back up from his arm the guy with the blade was gone. I couldn't believe this had happened. I quickly squirted the Detol antiseptic that I had in my bag. The cut didn't look deep, and hubby just applied pressure to it.
We continued to walk back to the Dynasty, notifying security guards along the way, of what had just happened. We arrived back at the Dynasty, and reported this to the Reception desk, who notified the Manager. They offered to have a member of staff drive us to the Police station. We had to bring along our passports too. So off to the room to get them. Son couldn't believe what had happened, I was just grateful that he wasn't with us tonight. We were driven to the Police station, and the Dynasty staff member stayed with us, while we spoke to police. We were then asked what happened, and a report was typed out. This did take ages! Finally finished, and they presented us with a page full of Indonesian words. I explained to the Policeman that we couldn't sign this as I cant understand a word of it, and can you therefore print out an English version???? Nope, couldn't/wouldn't do that...... Well we couldn't/wouldn't sign then!
Basically we just wanted to report this to police, we also mentioned about razor attacks that had apparently happened with people being sliced on the head...they looked away from us and said that nothing had been reported, so there fore it didn't happen...yeah sure. So we were driven back to the Dynasty, and were met there by 2 plain clothed Detectives. Who again asked us what happened, and they understood why we wouldn't sign the report. They said they would go and send undercover police to patrol the area for a few nights....... End of story...... We continue to apply detol to cut for the rest of the holiday, and lucky no hospital visit was required. Hubby would be ok. No money was paid to the Policeman's Ball either!!
Next morning Hubby wakes up crook, has the runs for 24hrs and feels crap.....mmmmm Baby Grilled Snapper the night before..... Off to get Entrostop from mini market next to the Dynasty,4,800rp for 8 tablets. = $0.64c
Next JBR restaurants....shopping, hair braiding, etc...
Cheers :)
