takes time and commitment, I dont think ( IMHO ) that by listening to a CD you will be able to strike up a conversation - or it will take a long time anyway ..my husband went to night classes at Uni for a few years to learn Bahasa Indonesia....when in Bali he can converse and practice with the Balinese, and it helps him, and most of the Balinese people are so happy to help him...you can never learn enough...He has tried to teach me, but I am only able to remember basic stuff...check out local Uni's or colleges for language courses...Good Luck :-)
