I stayed there for one night a few years ago. Garden View were in the middle of one of their usual overbooking periods and we got moved out to another hotel for one night till rooms became available.
They tried to send us first to Balisani Padma and we refused that place flat out. Filthy room we were shown turned us right off. Next was Bali Village Bagak, which was clean and so it was acceptable, but it's not a hotel I'd book to stay in and I wouldn't have been happy there over an entire holiday.
The room was ok, it's only 2 star and I have no problem with that. I had a queen bed which was comfy, a tv and minibar fridge as well as a wardrobe. All pretty standard stuff. Not a huge room but you could move around the bed easily enough.
The bathroom was poorly designed. No actual shower recess - just a shower in the corner over the bathroom floor - with the drainage being in the exact opposite corner, right in front of the door. So basically the entire bathroom was under water for about an hour or so after having a shower, until it all drained away and dried up.
The bathroom had open brickwork for 'windows' up high in the walls. There was no sort of fly screening, so at night the mosquitoes came in. The bathroom door had about an inch gap at the bottom, so I just laid a towel down to seal the gap at night and stop the mozzies coming into the room.
The hotel is smallish and the grounds, while OK, are not really much to look at. Nice enough smallish pool. There's a few sun lounges, and a pool bar that looks like it never operates. I didn't use the pool so can't comment more than that.
Breakfast was fine - just the usual, bacon and eggs with fruit or juice and coffee/tea.
I'm not a fan of the location, being that far along Rum Jungle Rd. I found it a bit hot with no breeze at all. I prefer being further down in Jl Padma Utara, but that's just a preference thing, and no reflection on the hotel itself.
If you're happy with very basic budget accomodation and you like the area, then you get what you pay for.
