I flew to Bali on a AA flight leaving Perth at 4.50 am.
The plane landed in Denpasar at 8.30 am. The first counter was the Visa On Arrival (VOA), where I paid $A34.15 for the 30 day visa, based on the Airport Money Changer exchange rate of $A1 = Rp 8,200. They gave me change in Rupiah.
There was no queue at the VOA counter, but there was a 30 minute queue at the Imigrasi counters, as there were only two booths open.
Ours was the only international flight arrival at that time. When we got through Imigrasi, our bags were waiting on the baggage carousel.
Next day, the money changer at the corner of Poppies 2 Lane Jalan Legian gave me a better rate of Rp 8,400.
As I missed a nights sleep going to Bali, it took me 2 days to fully recover. Your mother should rest for a few days after she arrives.
