Stayed twice last year at the Bumi Ayu Bungalows and going back this July. There is another hotel with a similar name nearby so that may be the one you are thinking of and I have no info on that one. If it's the bungalows - not all rooms are bungalow style by the way it is a lovely, small and usually fairly quiet hotel. Great staff, food is cheap and good and location is great but not beachside. In vicinity of many excellent restaurants, supermarket, leather tailor etc.
Last year I went once with children in twenties who aren't keen on the Kuta hustle and noise etc and once on my own. This year going with both sons and their partners (all in twenties and one of their friends).
