Hi Michael, you are definately not getting in really early. we booked for may this year in june last year. basically as soon as we got back from our holiday.
We love the Legian end of town and have stayed at different hotels every time we have been.
We loved Mandira, large property resort with a lot of bungalow style rooms, but also so appartments up the back of the resort. we loved the club lounge with free drinks at happy hour where we would meet up with freinds after a relaxing day and decide what we would do for dinner. It is a bit more on the higher price end of the market.
Puri Raja which we stayed at last year was great. good fun hotel with a quiet pool and a more busy pool. great staff, and very reasonable price. high standard of cleanliness.
All Seasons was nice and very modern and well looked after. more like a hotel than a resort, not much room for relaxing by the pool, and the pool was a bit too cold for spending much time in. Wouldnt stay there again as we didnt get right into relaxed mode by being able to spend any full days by the pool.
