The Laguna is absolutely fabulous. If you are winding down you probably won't want to go outside the hotel. If you want to explore, the beach walk to Bali Collection (shopping centre)is a must. Lots of shops and restaurants. Through the main Nusa Dua gates is the marketplace, lots of stalls, massage places, money changers, etc. Good restaurants, well worth a visit. The food in the Laguna is excellent. Great breakfasts, probably the best I have ever seen. The prices are expensive by Bali standards but we have the Platinum Privilege card so get 50% off all meals. Don't miss the free afternoon teas. Also the butlers bring fresh biscuits and fruit each day if you ask, along with the tea and coffee. There is a huge supermarket further along the main road (you need to take a taxi) and you can stock up on supplies for nibbles. We usually don't need any as the food is so great at the Laguna. The staff are amazing. We are going on 30th April for 10 days, can't wait. If it is your first time to Bali, and you want to go "out" definitely try a day in Ubud. Lots to see, do and eat there. Also a day in Kuta for the shoppers is a must.
