Went on a quick trip of only 6 nights (NO KIDS) to Bali with my husband in December. Great very relaxing. Stayed in Berawa (Canggu area) at Legong Keraton Beach for 2 nights. Great relaxing, very quiet nothing around. Walked to Echo Beach to Beach Cafe for lunch - 30 minutes slow walk. Great food, great look out. I was suprised to see other places there, like SOL restaurant, no time to go back.,....nest time. Ate at Sukherto's behind Legong, not nice, though had a power cut, and mei goreng noddles, not cooked. Hotel nice and quiet, pool all to our selves when we were there. Walked to Seminyak one day took 1.5 hours, long walk. Moved to Puri Cedana, behind Sofitel in Seminyak for the next 4 nights. Basic hotel, pool a bit warm, massage hut next to pool fantastic, very popular with people outside hotel coming in. Traditional style accomodation, small and quiet, which we like. We would stay at either hotel again for price of $US50 a night with breakfast. Good value. Ate at Tekkor a couple of times, had to do Poppies,Tried Ultimo for 1st time in Eat street which was great. Lots of long walks. Couldn't drop in for drink at Kudeta as closed for workers christmas party, no time to go back. Went to Geneva Handicrafts, not the same, didn't spend as much as usual. Bought nice wooden ducks (3) which look good at home. Went to Biarritz which is same owner, or she used to own Geneva not sure, but well lit, clean and same service where they follow you around the store while you shop, didn't happen at Geneva this time, did Lauren sell geneva?? Bought usual dvd's - some Bali quality not so good, didn't matter, need to find better dvd shop next time, in April around Legian. Checked out a lot of accomodation in our price range for Easter - Puri Raja, Jayakarta, KP, Melasti all booked out for Easter, COunting down 63 days till Bali again with 2 of our kids. So staying at Sari Beach, most of our friends at The Courtyard, which is beautiful, but we prefer beach front with surfing kids. Moving to Lembongan after that staying at Playgrounds.....Has anyone stayed at Playgrounds Resort???? This will be 1st trip to Lembongan. Then off to Rama Gardens Resort and Villas.
