We stayed there in May last year in the timeshare part of the hotel, which I believe is different to the hotel rooms.
We had a 1 bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/lounge room. Excellent if you are in Bali for a long stay and need a bit more room.
The hotel rooms which we saw one of, in a different area of the grounds was very much just a bedroom and ensuite, very westernised, the one we saw really smelt bad of cigarette smoke and the gut showing us apologised prefusely. Disregarding the smoke they would be fine to stay in.
The grounds are very nice, large lobby area, large bar/cafe area, large breakfast evening restaurant area, large pool, with many loungers, whilst we were there we never had a problem with getting a lounger. The pool didn't appear to be used very much. It was crystal clear and they had kiddy games going on for a few kids that were there.
Meals around the pool were limited but very nice. Breakfast was buffett style and had almost anything you could think of to eat. I believe you could order al a carte too. Room service meals were the same as around the pool and you could get breakfast sent to your room.
There was a room with a couple of computers for internet access, you had to pay for, this room was the coldest room in Bali I'm sure. There is a gym although we declined to use it.
The hotel is a good 10 minute walk along the beachfront (brickpaved) or along Kartika Plaza from Discovery Mall. You can cut through the hotel staff entrance and knock a few minutes off.
Restaurants and spas in that area are good value, better restaurants along Kartika Plaza though.
I may have done a jbr back in May, check the archives.
