Hopefully you have already left. Children dehydrate within 4-6 hours of illness. If the child has been sick since 4.00am, the child will reuquire IV fluids as no amount of home remedies will hydrate your child. They can deteriorate so quickly. I was sick last year in Bali and had reached complete dehydration within 4 hours and I am an adult. BIMC were fantastic, and while I was there they did all the tests to show that it was not Bali Belly, but a virus. The child could also have campylobacter (mainly from chicken, meat), which is highly contagious, can last up to 10 days and is extremely common in Bali and requires antibiotics. You just don't muck around with kids! Best of luck.
