taking a risk as to what will happen and you need to think about that risk and what you will do worst case scenerio. I have had hairdressers in Aus tell me that my hair is too dry and I needed to treat it before they would straighten it. In Bali they do not check or test your hair and what it will turn out like.
Basic rules: you cannot have your hair coloured for at least 3 weeks prior to having the straightening done and you must be extremly careful with your hair for at least 3 days after getting it done. No getting it wet, no tucking it behind your ears or kinking it in any way. It must remain flat as possible. Personally my hair always goes about 4 shades lighter with straightening and the treatment for me usually last about 6 months. I condition my hair really well for about a month before getting it done and if possible I try to have at least 1 hair cream bath before as this works so well on my hair. You should know what your hair is like and have some idea of what it treats like. My hair is always so soft and manageable after any treatment and I know my hair takes well to being treated. as I said you will be taking a risk on what will happen and this is a decision you need to make. I have heard of horror stories here and in Bali.
