If you live in Europe you may just buy as much US dollars you need to cover your visa on arrival.
The Euro as such is appreciated at money changers in Bali as long as the bills are brand new, i.e. no marks, no creases, no parts missing or being repaired with tape.
The bigger the bill the better - 100 or even 200 Euros are the best in my opinion. I have been using the Euro for many years without any problems at all.
