It is my understanding that weights for takeoff & fuel consumption are worked out using 75Kgs as an average weight of a passenger. Will this be the cut off weight? Can you pool weights if travelling with children & infants? How long till someone challenges this using Australia's anti-discrimination laws? I remember something similar in Canada a while ago, where a judge ruled airlines should give obese people an extra seat for free as obesity is a disability & as such cannot be discriminated against. Will thin people get a partial refund as they take up less room/fuel? The possibilities are endless!!
