The shoes are amazing.. so much cheaper. I have large (size 10/11) feet and have problems buying in the dept stores in Bali but have found the street stalls now sell my size and while they are only cheapies (I pay between 40 000 and 60 000rup less than $10) they are comfortable and ones from previous years have lasted for 12 months or more. For better quality I get shoes made by a tailor (Ramadan Tailor in Poppies 2) I take pics in and get them made for between $2o and $40 Australian. Worth every cent as they are custom made leather. I wish I could fit into the ones in the dept stores, everytime we are in Bali they seem to have sales and they are very good prices.
Kids shoes are a bargain - my boys bought 6 pairs each of Nikes and other top brands. 2 pairs each were the proper brand from Skate Element in Legian Rd and cost about $50 - $60 Aus. compared to in excess of $120 in our stores at home. The street stall copies were about $10 -15 a pair, depending on the mood of the salesperson !! My daughter got several pairs from Matahariand some from Hardy's Supermarket- some as cheap as 15 000rup (that's less than $2) The quality is great and even with the leather ones we only paid around $5 or 6 a pair.
Hope this helps
