Came back from Bali in October last year became very ill and after many tests wrong diagnosis and lots of medication (which wouldnt have helped)found out that I was positive for Dengue Fever.. There is no immunisation and the only treatment is pain relief and keep well hydrated.. I have never been so sick in my life and am still not 100% energy wise.. Dengue mossies do bite during the day so 24hr repellant is essential.. I also dont know if a return trip to Bali is a good idea as much as I want to go. I am immune to one strain of Dengue but there are another 3 and if I get one of those it is very severe.. Also I now have to question if travel insurance will cover me if this happens as it may be classed as a pre-existing condition..
Best advise use repellant 24/7...
