Hello everyone,
I thought I would share the best things of our week long holiday.
Restaurants - Kori is always fabulous, it has the atmosphere and beautiful food that it had on our last trip, i recommend the hot stone tuna - yum!! The delicious Onion in Seminyak was amazing we had a 3 course meal for 80,000 around 10AUD which was fabulos!!! Everyone try the crispy roast pork it was unbelievable.
Driver - after being stood up by our driver at the airport we decided to give Wendy a call. We had met Wendy on our pervious trip 5 years earlier and found out she has a new transport business and boy did she deliver, she had her nephew Arik drive us around and he is a character. He was laughing and joking with us which is exactly what you want on your holiday. Arik/wendy were always on time and reliable I would recommend them to anyone.
Hotel - Pelangi bali resort. The lobby for this hotel is impressive and the grounds and pool are beautiful, the room was a little musty and i think they could have done a bit better job cleaning but I would definatly stay there again. The staff were lovely, we were travelling with our 18 month old son and they absolutely loved him. The service was fantastic and the food was beautiful, especially the buffet breakfasts.
Safari Park - what can I say but unbelievable!!! we stayed at the mara river lodge onsite and it was incredible. The room was overlooking the rhino and zebras. when you ate breakfast you were looking at the lions and meercats. The actual safari park was a bit over priced, charging to do nearly everything but that is pretty standard no matter what country you are in. In saying that, we got to experience things that we never would had, had we not gone there, so it was worth every penny. The best thing we did while there was the night safari were we fed carrots to zebras. The zebras stick there whole heads in a tiny jeep and feeding meat to a male lion (a little scary but amazing)
Massage - the best massage we had was at Bali spa in seminyak. You get the whole relaxing experience in a beautiful environment. We also tried the fish spa too at carla spa in seminyak, where fish nibble away at the dead skin on your feet. the though of it freaked me out to begin with but once you do it, it is relaxing although it does tickle a little and my feet have never been as smooth.
Well I would like to thank everyone who answered my questions in the lead up to us going and if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask and I will get back to you.
Everyone enjoy your time in Bali - it truly is a paradise!
