Our ratio is 40% internet and balance by direct phone calls for our business here in Darwin NT.
The language barrier adds another factor & I can certainly relate to invalid email addresses.
So please always check & double check your reply email addy.
A good friend of mine is a receptionist at a popular Bali hotel.
She advised that it was very difficult to "do" the guest email enquiries because many guests do not base their enquiry in an easy understandable format. Also guest lists are attached by travel providers with names just prior to arrival.
No use emailing a hotel and asking to confirm my booking from flight centre Alice Springs... it means nothing.
