we stayed at puri ayu in the 3 bedroom villa last year.We have been to Bali many times and it was our 1st trip to Sanur,my hubby didnt like sanur (too quiet for him) I did. The puri ayu is small and not on the beach.You need to walk down a gravel lane way to get to beach. There are much nicer Hotels on beach at sanur with beautiful grounds and pools. The Puri Santrian and the Sanur beach hotel were gorgeous.I dont know if they are in your budget. Each of the hotels have their own beach section and those two I mentioned have lovely sand and gazebos. The puri ayu says it has beach lounges and it does but that section of beach is not nice,the sand is full of large rocks so we didnt use their facilities.
