You need to venture out of Legian to see the kecuk.
A lovely location is Uluwatu temple which is on the south coast. You can get there earlier, maybe call into the GWK centre on route, check out the temple and monkeys at Uluwatu then watch the dance at sunset. Stop on the way back for dinner at Jimbaran Bay or GWK.
You can also see the kecuk in Ubud or Seminyak, plus some hotels.
Maybe go to the Ubud market later afternoon, then dinner in Ubud then up the road into Jl Suweto (alongside the Royal Palace, to the kecut, the trance dance, or fire dance.
