We spent 6 nights there in October. I wouldn't stay at Playgrounds. There is nothing for the kids to do except swim in the pool right near the bar. The best place I recogn if you have kids is Waka Nusa Resort. It is very near Mushrooms & it has lots of kids activities. They have free water sport gear, table tennis, volley ball, pool, board games. The rooms are lovely (private) & the staff are great. Roughly us$116.oo per couple per night. I don't think there is any other resorts on Lembogan with kid friendly activities.
Maybe the Nusa Lembogan Resort Hotel but that is super flash. Only had a quick walk thru it but couldn't see any kids stuff. Mushroom is very nice (on the cliff) but again it is just rooms, a bar & a small pool. More for adults. As far as getting to the surf the staff at Waka Nusa will take you in thier boat for a very small fee & pick you up later or you can hire a scooter & ride over but not if you have a longboard. (Very skinny bendy roads)
