Hi There,
I returned on the weekend and did a tour with Bintang Bike Tours last Tuesday. Having a four year old myself (who wasn't actually with me this trip) - I think it would take a lot of pleasure out of the trip! The trip is basically downhill for 80% of the way - and is very pleasurable and you hardly even need to peddle - but there are some parts where you have to go uphill using gears etc and get a little puffed (maybe 3 or 4 times). It is more that I think that a four year old would probably be just that too big to comfortable fit on the back and as I was braking almost the entire ride while going downhill, I think the extra weight might be a little dangerous? It depends how confident a rider you are. If you had a babysitter - they could sit in the van that goes behind you though as they pretty much follow you the whole way - not right behind but relatively close. You would have to check with who you booked with to see whether they could accommodate it. Make sure you go though - it is a great trip - I would recommend bringing a seat cover - those seats are very hard after 40kms!
