While prices have to go up with inflation, my experience of booking this year's trip has been that some increases have been way over what might reasonably expect. The Sanur Beach hotel raised its 2008 price by 50% and the 2010 prices are 50% more than last year. Same for the Tegal Sari but only by 10% but no free breakfast anymore.
We voted with our feet and chose other places which I suppose is the only option available.
