The only way to get from Mushroom to Jengut is by motor bike. Way too far to walk with lots of hills. I am not sure if you can ride a bike, but very easy there as you go very slow and no cars or trucks etc. and extremely enjoyable. We stayed at Tanis which we thought was nice, but we spent most of our time travelling to Jengut. I would swim in Jengut. I thought it was lovely. Tides are extreme in both Jengut and Mushroom. Mushroom has of course restaurant at Tanis, Beach Cafe, the Huts next door, the big and expensive Nusa Lembongan Resort at one end of bay perched on cliff and then the cheaper, but just as lovely Mushroom resort at other end of beach on cliff with lovely view. So if you are there for 5 days you can eat at different place every night anyway. But of course, with out bikes, you are going to be stuck on Mushroom Beach and not able to explore rest of island, unless you want boat tours. We explored with our kids on bikes, going over to Ceningan island next door, dream beach, and the Mangroves, and it was a once in a lifetime experience for us. Hope you enjoy it!!
