Most of my friends in Bali are actually Javanese, who embrace Bali, work hard in Bali and return to see their family. They condemn these kind of actions.
I used to frequent Paddies and Bounty Ship most nights a few years ago. Very little trouble but recently reading the razor blades, glassing seems to be going downhill.
There must be tension however with groups of tourists going over, causing trouble and doing things they wouldn't dare back home. Along with the fact my friends have to pay to get in unless entering with a Westerner.
Bit of a delicate situation and a shame to hear reports about this happening.
