The MBR is a large hotel with varying styles of rooms. The old suites are perfect for families.
The hotel is in Legian on a good stretch of beach next to lots of restaurants, shops etc.
It is a large family hotel and loved particularly by teens who unfortunately often have bbguns and like to dive bomb in the main pool. There are 2 other pools though well suited to younger kids. It is a good place for the money. The fridge is the normal small hotel size as is the Satriya.
The Satriya is a charming, very Balinese style hotel in the heart of Kuta but set back in a private enclave so you feel very secluded and calm once in the grounds. It has 1 small pool but lots of lawn for kids to play and is a really nice hotel and often hard to get into. The rooms are more basic than the MBR and I don't think there is full cable tv but I have been to eat there and visit friends on many occasion and find the place quite lovely, I just don't like that end of town. Mr Dipper and his staff are absolutely lovely.
