I havent stayed at the satriya although I know what it looks like and its location. It is down a short lane from kuta beach so is not beachfront.
We first stayed at the MBR when our 2 girls where 22months and 3 years old and we had a ground floor suite cottage at melasti and found it great. In the first part of the room as you walk in there is a lounge suite which can be moved around as they have 2 single beds that are built into the wall and pulled down to be used. We had one single bed brought down and used a cot for our small child. If your kids are that young I would suggest you take your own cot or hire from a baby place over there as they certainly arent Aussie standand!!!
Alternatively you kid have 1 child in the first room and have the cot in the main king bed section as this is spacious enough to have both.
Fridge is bar size as are most hotel rooms. We have stayed there 6 times over the years and have always found the staff very friendly. There are 2 pools and one that has a definite shallow area separate for kids. One is a donut shaped long and is nice to float around in.
Breakfasts here have always raised loads of complaints on this forum but I must say it does me okay. eggs, anyway you like cooked to order, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and pastries. They have food in a hot bain marie and some days are good and some days I would give it a miss. I took some of our own little cereal pkts over for my kids and then they had toast and juice
MBR location is right on the beach so this is a big plus. It is in an area that would be alot quiter than Kuta end and not so hustle bustle in my opinion. There is great shopping around the MBR and if you exit beach end and turn right and walk for about 200metres you will find some excellent restaurants too!!!
good luck with your choice
