We've stayed there twice and really love the hotel - great location, huge pools, excellent breakfasts, free shuttle to Hardy's and to Kuta, well maintained rooms and fabulous views over the reef.
Last year we arrived at 12 noon after a long drive from Lovina and despite the hotel being fully booked, we were able to check into our rooms straight away and not have to wait the 2 hours before the official 2 p.m. check in time.
I've read some complaints about the hotel staff not being friendly enough but I've always been impressed by their efficiency and professionalism which is what you expect or at least hope for in a hotel this size.
We would be staying there this year but the hotel has increased its July prices by 50% for the last two years and so we're trying the Mecure next door this time.
Sanur has a whole different vibe to it - much quieter but no yahoos/bogans. The restaurants in Sanur are fabulous especially the warungs just to the north of the SBH - Bobby's on the beach if you want cheap and cheerful or Charming on the main road if you want up market Asian fusion style in stunning surroundings.
