I use these striped plastic big bags with zips also... $2.50 in the reject shop here in NSW... what I do is use two put one inside the other so you have 2 layers of bags which makes it stronger...The zips are not good quality so what I do is take duck tape over and once bag is full tape it up by winding tape around the centre of the bag a number of times ...also you need to tape down the handles because if they are picked up by only 1 handle they will rip off...I also take twine or thin rope to make a handle from...sounds like alot of mucking aroung but when they weigh only about 200g it is well worth it...seeing a solid travel bag with wheels is usually at least 6.5kilos... If your worried about it breaking.... when you get to the airport to go home get it shrink wrapped...at a cost of about $5aud its worth it...dont forget to barter with them!! Good luck
