we stayed in patong beach at the mercure in November. The street seller are worst i have ever experanced they are not your friedly thi people. The speed boat trip was great that goes out to differant islands. The sex trade is overwhelming and in your face very sad, not like bali. I wouldnt take my kids Patong beach but would to Karbi. Chiang Mai in June thanks to AA and Bali in Feb.
