was lovely when I stayed there 2 yrs ago. It is much quieter than Patang but they have a shuttle that runs about 6-8 times a day if you feel like you want to get to the hustle and bustle - it is only about 10 mins away by shuttle but a world away in difference. Karon also has its own market stalls and great restuarants - I found we didn't need to go to Patong very often - but if you do you must go and visit the Aussie bar and check out all the great mementos from Aus.(The Beer is cold and the Bar snacks are great). The Horizons also has 2 sections - couples only section and family areas - each with their own pools and facilities - a really good setup...lovely gardens and rooms and was only completed the year before i went,,,so not run down and tired as some accomm in Phuket (and Bali) can be. You will love it.
