Apparently no meat is allowed in unless you possess a permit.This permit I believe is issued from Jakarta.
A seemingly new sign is displayed that states hefty penalties apply for non-declaration of goods.
Recently I declared food,animal products etc.Previously no real dramas but this time a definite no without the permit.
Some months ago I inquired at quarantine office at the Denpasar airport.One reply was meat for your own consumption is O.K.Not now.
So,no more kangaroo fillets on the barbie,roo tail stew or buffalo burgers under the branches of bulldust in Sanur.Sorry Ron.
